Cadogan Court Summer Fair

15/6/2013

Cadogan Court, altho’  based in Exeter, relies heavily on donations from the Provinces of Cornwall,  Devon and Somerset.
This residential care home was founded and supported by the Masonic Grand Lodge for the benefit of Masons and/or their dependants who find themselves in need of care and attention and being unable to look after themselves properly.
They hold various fund raising events, one of which is “THE CADOGAN COURT SUMMER FAIR”.         Lodges in these Provinces are invited to run a stall with the proceeds donated for the benefit of the residents.  These go towards providing just a few luxuries in life such as day outings with teas included, wheelchairs, library etc., and also assisted in the purchase of a Minibus.

The weather on Saturday 15th June was mixed but we survived thanks to the help on the day from W Bro Dean Jones with his wife Sue, my daughter Samantha with husband Neil, plus myself and grandson Callum.
On the day we raised £150 and with cash donations from brethren of £20 and a donation of £70 from our Charity Steward lodge funds. Thus we were able to forward the magnificent total sum of £240 !     All this thanks to the generous support of 21 brethren from Saltford Lodge!

The PGM’s from both Cornwall and Somerset expressed their thanks for us “showing the flag” on behalf of the KMH temple.
